For thousands of years, ancient cultures like the native American Indians, The Chinese, Shamans and many more, have known that we are spiritual beings experiencing life through psychical form. By using this knowledge, they could heal people both psychically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
This energy is created by a vibration. A vibration that every living and non-living thing has. For example - if you where to take a very powerful electron microscope and look at your hand, what would you see? You would see atoms vibrating. If you did the same to a table you would see the same thing, atoms vibrating. This vibration resonates on a frequency which is unique to everyone and every object. ![]() Have you ever heard the saying "that person gives me a bad vib?". This is your 6th sense, our psychic ability (which we are all born with) picking up on that person's vibration. If that person is a "negative" person regarding their approach to life and people/things around them, you will pick up on this negative energy like a radio receiver picks up radio stations. Our thoughts can either be positive or negative depending on how we think/act and how life has treated us. Some people are generally negative without actually realising it. How do you know whether you think in a positive or negative way? Ask yourself this question:- If a glass is filled half way, would you view the glass as "half empty" or "half full"? A positive person would see it as half full. They know that life can be hard but they also know that no matter how bad things get, there is always going to be someone in a worse situation. So, they look at things in a positive light and are grateful at what they have. A negative person would see the glass as half empty. They know life is hard and they are more self obsessed and feel that life has given them a raw deal. They feel sorry for themselves even though they know that there are people more worse off than they are. They are always looking at what they want rather than looking back and seeing what they have. there glass is half empty. Are you a "Giver" or a "Taker" There seems to be two kinds of people in the world - Givers and Takers. What do I mean by this? As discussed in previous chapters on this site, human beings will take the least path of resistance which means that they will take the path that takes less energy. As we have already established, to make an effort to do something takes "Energy". If you where to see an old lady falling across the street, there are two things that you could do:- 1. Cross the street and help the old lady up - This takes energy. 2. See her fall but come up with some excuse i.e. she'll be fine, someone else will help her, I can't be bothered. This is the path of least resistance - This takes no energy. Now some people will argue that they would help the old lady etc, and this is where you're up bringing comes into play. If your parents have brought you up to respect others, help others and they themselves were "givers", than it's only natural to assume that you would also be brought up the same way as we learn by example. On the other hand, if you where brought up in a family environment where you have to fight for what was yours and you saw your parents actually not bothering to help people and had a selfish approach to life, then this is what you would replicate. So, based on the above information, ask yourself this question - if you asked someone, like a customer service representative, for assistance and they go beyond what they would normally do to help, they would be classed as a "Giver" as they are using energy to help you. On the other hand, if someone is a "job's worth" and just about makes an effort to help you, they would be a "Taker". They are using less energy and would possibly see the glass as "Half Empty". This principal also relates to life in general but also, in a big way, to relationships. What you find in most relationships is that there is a "Giver" and a "Taker". These percentages vary between couples. Some can be 30/70, others 20/80 and even 10/90. It is very rare to find a couple that is 50/50, that is the Holy Grail. In my research I have found that relationships that last a short period of time tend to have two "Takers" involved. A "Taker" will take from the "Giver" and rarely make an effort themselves to give something back (this obviously depends on the percentage in the relationship as stated above). "Effort" takes energy, so how many times have you heard from a friend, family member etc that their partner doesn't make an "Effort" and that they feel that they have to make the "effort" in their relationship? When the "Taker" does actually do something, they sing from the rafters to let everyone know, not realising that the "Giver" in the relationship has been giving all the time. So to help you in your quest for a better understanding of people around you, here are my tips:- 1. Make sure you have positive people around you. Keep negative people away from you. they will only affect your own energy and bring it down. 2. If you are going into a relationship, look for a person that is a "Giver" and not a "Taker". You will soon find out after a couple of dates whether they are one or the other. 3. Ask yourself the question - is my glass half full and half empty? 4. Stay positive - People are attracted to positive people. Like attracts like. 5. Keep an open mind and think outside the box. Do not pre-judge as there are always two sides of a story. NB. This information is by no means comprehensive. It's a starting point for people interested in finding out more.
